Parliament and the Internet
The 2009 Parliament and the Internet Conference was held in the Houses of Parliament on Thursday 15th October. The event was kindly sponsored by Nominet.
The Conference, which attracted 200 delegates, brought together leading figures from Government, Parliament, academia and industry to discuss and debate the most pressing policy issues facing the Internet.
The keynote speakers for 2009 included Ofcom CEO Ed Richards, the Rt Hon Stephen Timms MP and Martha Lane Fox, the Government’s Digital Champion. The event also launched the findings of the recent inquiry by the All-Party Parliamentary Communications Group into Internet Privacy.
